Rolling Stones 1981

These were shot in December 1981 in Hampton, Virginia at the last two shows of the Tatoo You tour. I was blessed with good luck and plagued by bad luck at these shows. The good luck was I actually got a photo pass from the Stones publicity office to shoot the shows. The bad luck was half of my rolls of film were ruined by the processing lab that developed my slides. The lab, which shall remain nameless, was located in Hampton and did a lot of work for NASA. Must have been staffed by space cadets. Most of the close ups were lost. Another good reason to shoot lots of images. You never know when the fickle finger of fate will intervene.

Ive watched this frame by frame countless times. Lean, mean street fightin man. No wasted motion at all. Handles the situation.10 seconds. Turns he guitar back on– continues to rock. Keith in his prime. Interview–Keith says ” and the guy still owes me $20.00 “
